Task requirements
Design a simple plywood cutout puzzle of a whale that can be assembled into a 3D desk ornament. The design should consist of flat interlocking pieces that slot together without glue to form a whale standing on a small base/stand.
Use the whale in wooden-whale.png as a style reference, a humpback whale made of a few flat plywood pieces with slots/tabs that interlock to create a simple 3D form.
The output should be an SVG file containing the individual flat cutout pieces laid out for laser cutting, with:

The output is a valid SVG file containing vector paths for all cutout pieces, suitable for laser cutting.
The design consists of flat interlocking plywood pieces that assemble into a recognizable 3D whale shape without glue.
Slot and tab joints are included on the pieces with dimensions appropriate for 3mm plywood thickness.
A base or stand piece is included so the assembled whale can stand upright on a desk.
The whale silhouette is simple and clean, resembling the humpback whale style shown in the middle of the reference image — not overly detailed or complex.
All pieces are laid out flat and non-overlapping in the SVG, ready for laser cutting on a single sheet.
Pieces are labeled or color-coded to indicate assembly order or which slots connect to which pieces.
The design uses a minimal number of pieces (roughly 6-12 total pieces including the base) to keep the assembly simple.
The slots and tabs across all pieces are geometrically consistent — every tab on one piece has a matching slot of the same width and position on its mating piece, so the pieces actually fit together correctly.
The assembled structure is physically stable and self-supporting — pieces lock together tightly enough that the whale stands on its base without falling apart.
Assemblability is prioritized over visual complexity — a simple design that can actually be assembled is strongly preferred over a detailed or beautiful design whose pieces do not fit together.
